As we embark on a New Year, we are filled with sincere gratitude and joy from last year’s expansion and growth of the foundation.
2024 was a landmark year for the Chloé and Maud Foundation – a year of digging deep into new ventures and reaching treasured milestones! Together, we expanded access to excellent arts education, hosted pivotal and equitable programming for underserved communities, and created sisterhood and brotherhood across the globe through movement.
Every step we’ve taken this past year was made possible because of you. Your generosity helps us provide shoes for eager young dancers, fund travel opportunities for our teaching artists, and maintain the spaces where creativity comes to life. By investing in our mission, you are investing in the next generation of artists and future world citizens, and the cultural enrichment of communities worldwide.
In this report, you’ll meet just some of the young people who make our Foundation shine so brightly, and hear in their words how our work has uplifted their lives. You’ll meet Vanessa and Daniel, our Cameroonian friends and artists who we’ve supported in coming to the United States for the first time. You’ll meet Naomi, our mentee who we’re supporting through the college application process, and Kaiden, our Ivy-League student whose internship spanned not only practical business skills but deeply valued interpersonal skills and community service. You’ll meet all the young people who make the Chloé and Maud Foundation special — Syncopated Babies, Tap Into Life students, Sole Talkers, and more! Their stories validate our mission and embolden us to reach higher and do more.
These young people are the next generation of change-makers, ground-breakers, earth-shakers, and torch-bearers. With our support, they will achieve and exceed their dreams.
In 2025, we aim to create ever wider ripples. With the largest Syncopated Ladies tour to date, we will interact with communities all over the country. We will expand our team, further streamline our processes, and celebrate multiple anniversaries of our world-renowned tap dance festivals. We will reach even more schools with our free after-school programming with the support of LAUSD’s Black Student Achievement Plan, expand our youth tap dance company internationally, and continue our mission of no- and low-cost programming in the name of equitable arts education. All of this and more is possible with your continued investment into the arts.
Let’s continue to tap into our power, and uphold the powerful potential of the arts. Together, we can change lives on and off the dance floor, and further our mission to Educate, Inspire, Uplift, and Empower. Be a joy-maker, and change a child’s life — and in turn, they will change the world!
Thank you so much for supporting the Chloé and Maud Foundation!
With joy,
