MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to inspire and unite over four generations of Tap Dancers from around the world, and together, heighten the global respect and appreciation for this rich American Art form: Tap Dance. We welcome all people, regardless of social or economic status, age, gender, artistic or cultural background and create a haven for the creative and artistic process, growth, and achievement. Building the next generation of artists and entrepreneurs.

EDUCATION:

To inspire and educate students through MASTER TAP CLASSES with today’s most sought after choreographers. They will learn technique, choreography, and improvisation.

To learn about the rich history of this original American Art - Tap Dance, through HISTORY LECTURES by Tap legends and University professors.

To provide a platform for students to present their original works to their peers and professionals in the field at the STUDENT SHOWCASE.

To teach students and audiences how to improvise with live musicians at the JAM SESSION.

To celebrate the traditional roots of Tap Dance with the CUTTING CONTEST. Known as a BATTLE today, The cutting contest teaches kids how to have a exciting rhythmic conversation through their bodies. Teaching them better communication skills.

To Increase the entrepreneurial skills of our artists through THE BUSINESS OF SHOWBIZ LECTURE. Students will learn more about producing, managing their careers, colleges and university choices, and are challenged to create their own event or project that we will share and advertise with our contacts.

To uplift and invigorate audiences through an ALL-STAR CONCERT. Leaving audiences with a heightened appreciation for Tap Dance by presenting Tap Stars spanning Four Generations performing with acclaimed live musicians, alongside youth Tap Companies, offering them a professional performance experience.

Expand our audiences by offering tickets to under-served communities that would not otherwise normally attend the theater.

OUTREACH:

We have granted 120 scholarships for students to train with our Master Faculty
We have given away over 600 tickets to inner city youth.
Entrepreneurs in training Internship – 60 student interns
Free In-School Performance Tour for kids in inner city public schools
