We had the best time at Essence Fest! In partnership with Pfizer, Syncopated Ladies had nine incredible performances for roaring crowds all weekend long - our favorite part, as always, is when the crowd Taps In and dances with us!
We love our New Orleans visits, when we can reconnect with old friends like Melvin and Kash, who we first met in 2018, and to make new connections in the local community - we see their raw, incredible talent on Bourbon Street, and dance builds the bridge. This year, we met Tony, who danced tap with soda cans attached to the bottoms of his shoes. Just a few weeks after meeting, we brought Tony and his family to the DC Tap Fest to share his gifts with our students, and this is just the beginning!
With wings of faith and a soulful heart, nothing is impossible for these amazing children. We're so grateful for committed local studios like New Orleans Dance Collective that put in tireless work to keep the fire burning for these kids, and we do everything we can to support them and the children they serve!
